The seeds are stirring again!
Welcome to the time of the year when new project ideas are percolating and when most grant and residency applications are due! In fact, you will see that this newsletter is bursting with links to residencies for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2022.
It’s also a great time to get organized and set goals for Summer and Fall projects. For example, Creative Capital is opening their grant cycle to letters of inquiry for project proposals. This is a great opportunity to get a huge project funded. Not sure where to start? A little further down in this newsletter is a pdf of notes that I made when I attended a Creative Capital Grant Applicant Workshops in 2020.
Artists Supporting Artists…
When you scroll down past the links in this newsletter, you will find a link to an open-source document specifically designed to highlight your work and to share with our community of W.A.R. subscribers. If you have a newsletter or website or resource, you want to share with the community add it to the doc for all of us to see!
I also want to give a shout out to this month’s selected lectures, there are some real motivational gems to be found in each one!
And… this month’s studio playlist comes from the book "Interstate" by Jose Vadi. It’s an interpretive version of the author’s playlist from the chapter "Getting to Suzy's." Full of oldies, funk, and just one great song after the next. Something certain to get you into the studio groove.
